Choose a topic concerning lighting that particularly interests you and post a blog about it. Come to class prepared to discuss it. Everyone should preview what each other posts, so that they can read up on the topics and have intelligent discourse.
Thanks, Off you go.
P.S. Going back and commenting on blogs you missed would be a good way to get back some of that 20%.

Lighting Calculations.
In your Winchip text or in texts from the Ai library or from the Internet, etc. do some research on lighting calculations and post your discoveries on the blog. Ashley Bell is doing some research into the particulars of lighting for the NCIDQ and we will compare this information when we receive it.

Blog #6 for Week 7
ID1605 should research and blog on landscape and pool lighting as well as fiber optics and LEDs.
ID1608 should blog on image projections in commercial and performance lighting as well as catch up older blogs.
You will be presenting your light fixtures next week. I also need 11 x 17 pages with notes sketches and photos of your light fixture.
We will have a studio day other than that so bring research and whatever supplies you need to work on your final projects.
Thanks, off you go.

Blog #5 for Week 6...
For Karina and Nadine (ID108 Principles II):
1) You need to read your Theatre of the Bauhaus handout and quantify the seating specs using the "Silver Bible" and online resources.
2) For your blog you need to research acoustical treatments for acoustical spaces, which will lead up to acoustical choices you will make for your interpretation of the Bauhaus Theatre. Here are some places to start to look, find more:
ftp://ftp.acousticdimensions.com/Tools/Worship_Tools/Articles/arch_lighting.pdf
http://stage-directions.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=332&I
http://www.acousticalsurfaces.com/acoustic_IOI/101home.htm
For Julie, Kristin, Jamie and Christina (ID1605 Principles I):
Read chapter 6 Lighting Systems and Controls and 12 Lighting Design Process: Contract Documents Through Post Occupancy Evaluation, and be prepared to discuss in class.
You will also work together in class on Island Getaway examples of the Chapter 12 information.
For the blog commentary: lighting control systems: residential and commercial
